PCAPH has always tried to provide cricket facilities and opportunities to physically Handicapped cricket heroes throughout the country from the start of its formation.

PCAPH has kicked off it sports activities in July 2006 by arranging its first ever cricket tournament of its own club, at Shalimar cricket ground Islamabad, where honorable Brig. Munawwar Rana the Ex-CEO Pakistan Cricket Board was invited as chief guest..

Afterward which it pave the path to reach out to other main cities of Pakistan where it proudly arranged its various tournaments in major cities of, KPK and Punjab. As result PCAPH acquired over 400 handicapped cricket heroes from around Pakistan as declared fit for cricket by Dr. Riaz Ahmed, technical advisor to PCAPH.

In June 2008 PCAPH proudly organized its first ever national tournament where teams from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK, Federal Areas and Kashmir took part. We are grateful to Al Ghurair Giga Group, whose sponsorship make this event a success.

In 2011 PCAPH start searching its best 45 players by organizing events throughout the country and held various tri angular series in Islamabad where it announced its first National Handicapped Cricket team.

In 2011 PCAPH organized events throughout the country and picked best 45 players and held a Tri Angular series in Islamabad and announced first ever National Handicapped Cricket Team.

2012 has been the most successful year in history of PCAPH where it organized 4 International Series for the Physically Handicapped. In June 2012 Indian Handicapped cricket team visited Pakistan to play 3 ODI’s and 1 T-20 International in Islamabad. Despite of all security concerns it has been the major achievement of PCAPH.

In same year after the successful Indian tour, PACPH managed to invite Afghan Handicapped team. The tour consisted of 3 T-20s series, won by Pakistani Handicapped Team by 3-0.

In October 2012, Pakistan Handicapped Cricket Team counter visited to India, as invited by the Indian Handicapped team where it played 3 ODI’s and a T-20 International, where PACPH successfully managed to get the tour on its name by winning the ODI series by 2-0 and the T-20 match. Beating India on its soil was a historical step toward PACPH success.

On 3rd December 2012 PACPH celebrated the World Disabled day by inviting Indian Team to Pakistan for a T-20 International. Pakistan Handicapped Team marked the day by winning the match by a huge margin.

In Feb, 2013, PCAPH celebrated the 150th anniversary of RED CROSS by arranging a friendly match between PACPH and Muzaffarabad handicapped cricket team at Muzaffarabad cricket stadium in Kashmir. This historic event was also witnessed by official from ICRC who visited from Switzerland to honor the cause.

In April 2013 PCAPH Organized MOL Super Eight T-20 Cricket Challenge for the Physically Handicapped. It was the first time when PCAPH organized such an event in Sheikhupura, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. KPK won this tournament by beating Islamabad in the finalay at Arbab Niaz Stadium Peshawer.

PCAPH is highly organized to take its cause to the next level by arranging its tour to EUROPE in 2014, that will not only promote the PACPH but will also help PCAPH to bring smiles to those who are physically disadvantaged.

Aims and Objectives

  1. To create opportunities for the physically disabled people in Pakistan interested cricket.
  2. To work closely with Tehsil, District, Provincial and National Cricket events organize in order to play cricket on regular basis for physically disabled persons in Pakistan.
  3. To improve the quality and number of coaches and volunteers within disability support through coach education and other system.
  4. To create new and further develop existing opportunities for disable people to compete in sports at local, regional and national level with collaboration of Pakistan Cricket Board in Pakistan.
  5. To provide job opportunities and livelihood to physically challenged persons.
  6. To create discipline amongst the disabled player and develop leadership qualities.
  7. To give maximum opportunities to the handicapped persons with above 40% disability and thus developing a unique TEAM STRUCTURE solely based on medical data.
  8. To include the spirit of national integration irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
  9. To conduct annual cricket tournament at all Pakistan level.
  10. To help the provincial associations affiliated to PCAPH to select the provincial teams by holding district level tournaments thus mobilizing the large number of handicapped youth through cricket in the provinces.
  11. To provide & encourage the provincial associations to hold tournament for the disabled.

Future Plans

With the blessings of Allah Almighty the success story of PCAPH is going on and we are trying hard to organize more events in this year. In Feb, 2014 best Handicapped Cricketers will participate in first Indian Physically Challenged Cricket League in Faridabad India. Few other overseas events are also in pipeline. They will be announced soon.
